Project Overview
Three complementary masonry products in one modern exterior
Ottawa Masonry Contracting Inc. completed the custom masonry for this contemporary residence in Nepean, Ottawa. The installation connects the front façade, entrance, garage walls, side elevations and covered rear patio through a coordinated mix of grey and white masonry.
Permacon Mondrian Stone in Range Scandina Grey adds depth through slender shapes, defined edges and a lightly chiselled texture. Cinco Plus Brick in the same grey range creates longer horizontal lines and a finer visual scale.
Brampton Finesse Stone in Polar White, installed in an elongated 8×24 format, brightens selected architectural features. Together, the materials complement the dark windows, rooflines and garage doors without making the façade feel crowded.
The Masonry Work
Careful layout across openings, corners and material changes
Course heights and installation sequencing were planned before visible work began so the three products could meet through clean, intentional transitions.
Wall Preparation
Before installation, the crew reviewed the wrapped building envelope, foundation elevations, windows, doors, garage openings and covered areas. Support surfaces and key transitions were checked before the first visible courses were installed.
Material Coordination
Mondrian Stone, Cinco Plus Brick and Polar White Finesse units were sequenced to preserve alignment. Regular level checks and balanced unit distribution reduced repeated joints across prominent walls.
Openings and Corners
Straight vertical edges frame the windows and garage doors, while corner units carry the masonry naturally around connected elevations, the entrance and the covered outdoor area.

A balanced contemporary exterior with controlled contrast
The completed Custom Home Masonry Nepean project uses grey textures to give the lower elevations visual weight, while Polar White feature stone adds brightness around selected architectural areas.
Consistent courses connect the garage, entrance, windows, side walls and covered patio. Clean material changes allow each product to remain distinct while still belonging to one exterior palette.
