This Orléans fireplace project documents natural stone veneer installed around a gas firebox and up to a floating wood mantel. The photographs follow the work from stone layout and lower installation through white-mortar finishing.
Irregular grey and beige stones were distributed across the wall before setting to maintain a balanced natural pattern from the floor to the ceiling. Units were fitted carefully around the fireplace opening and mantel.
White mortar brings the different stone tones together and gives the finished joints a bright, clearly defined profile. The masonry is complete while the surrounding room remains protected for other interior work.
