This Nepean fireplace project documents the installation of a full-height grey stone veneer around a custom mantel and firebox. The photo sequence follows material sorting, wall layout, active installation and final joint work.
Stone sizes and tones were distributed before setting so the wall would maintain a natural pattern from the hearth to the ceiling. Courses and irregular units were adjusted carefully around the protected mantel.
The completed surround adds durable texture and a substantial architectural presence while remaining balanced with the room’s light walls and dark fireplace opening.
