Ottawa Masonry Contracting Inc. installed the exterior stonework for this luxury custom home in Nepean, Ottawa. The masonry extends around the main entrance, large windows, balcony walls, garage sections, foundation areas, rear porch columns and connected exterior corners.
Rinox Londana Stone in Amaretto combines warm brown, beige and neutral tones in varied unit heights and lengths. The pattern creates strong horizontal movement while retaining the natural texture expected from premium architectural stone.
Against dark window frames, light exterior finishes, wood accents and modern rooflines, the Amaretto colour gives the lower walls visual weight without overwhelming the architecture.
The Masonry Work
Controlled layout across changing wall conditions
Foundation heights, large openings, projecting walls and balcony sections required careful planning so the stone remained connected across every visible elevation.
Course Planning
Wall lengths, openings and foundation transitions were reviewed before installation. Balanced unit sizes reduced narrow cuts and avoided repetitive vertical joints in prominent areas.
Windows and Balconies
Straight edges frame the large windows and balcony openings. Consistent courses maintain visual continuity as wall heights, membranes and neighbouring finishes change.
Corners and Columns
Corner units carry the masonry naturally between adjoining elevations. Wrapped columns and projecting walls add depth around the covered rear living areas.
