This Nepean home required localized masonry reconstruction above an existing window. The original opening had an exposed section where the upper masonry needed to be rebuilt without making the repair look disconnected from the surrounding wall.
Ottawa Masonry selected closely matched rock-face masonry units, prepared the opening and reconstructed the area above the window. The finished section restores continuity across the façade while respecting the texture, colour range and coursing of the existing masonry.

The area above the window was opened and prepared so the replacement masonry could be installed against an organized backing.
Matching the Existing Texture
Rock-face units with a similar scale and surface texture were selected to reduce the visual contrast between the repair and the original wall.
Rebuilding the Masonry
The units were laid in alignment with the surrounding courses, restoring a continuous band of masonry above the window.
