Stone-Veneer Base Waterproofing Repair

A lower-wall repair documenting selective stone removal, deteriorated sheathing, waterproofing details and masonry reinstallation after water infiltration.

Project Overview

Opening the wall base to address water infiltration

Ottawa Masonry Contracting Inc. carried out a lower-wall repair after water infiltration was reported behind an existing grey stone veneer. The documented process included removing the first stone courses, opening the wall base and reinstalling the masonry after waterproofing work.

The photographs cover several areas within the same repair scope. They document exposed deterioration, membrane and flashing details, and stone reinstallation without claiming a broad post-cure final finish.

The Masonry Work

Selective removal, waterproofing details and stone reinstallation

The lower stone was removed where access was required. The supplied images then document exposed sheathing, black waterproofing coating, wrapped and taped membrane or flashing, and masonry reinstallation.

The selected result view shows the grey stone back in place above the finished foundation surface with fresh mortar joints.

The archive does not include a broad photograph after mortar cure, final cleaning and complete site restoration, so a post-cure finish is not claimed.
